Senior Accountant I

Position Summary:

GoHealth Urgent Care, a technology-driven urgent care network is growing!

Due to market expansion we are adding to our infrastructure and are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant.  

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries and review accounting classifications in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Responsible for month end close for assigned functions.
  • Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts.
  • Review P&L and Balance Sheet accounts for accuracy.
  • Participate in monthly financial reviews and provide explanations for variance inquiries.
  • First level of review for specific balance sheet reconciliations completed by other team members.
  • Seek to improve processes as needed.
  • Ad hoc requests as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • At least five years of relevant accounting experience working with a fully integrated accounting system.
  • Understanding of the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, & Statement of Cash Flow.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills required; experience with Great Plains software is preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with year-end audit preparation.
