Job Summary:
In this role you will lead the design, implementation, and sustainability of the Company's financial systems. 
The Director of Financial Systems is a full-time role and reports to the Chief Accounting Officer with significant visibility to leadership throughout the Company.  This individual in this role will closely partner and collaborate with the Accounting, Finance IT Departments and external sources to identify and satisfy the current and future financial system demands of our fast-paced, high-growth organization.
Over time, the Director of Financial Systems will have the opportunity to build a team to help support the Company's financial systems environment.  

The individual serving in this role can work remotely, but may have to travel to the Company's corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop the financial systems strategy and roadmap to ensure dynamic, scalable, and sustainable solutions, which would include implementing an account reconciliation and financial close tool and assessing and determining the long-term solution for the Company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and consolidation tool
  • Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders of all levels throughout finance (Accounting, FP&A, Internal Audit, etc.) and operations (Revenue Cycle) to understand and support their financial systems needs
  • Build, oversee, lead and manage a team to maintain and support the Company's financial systems environment
  • Provide, evaluate, and prioritize business requirements and ensure collaboration with IT, Finance and other business stakeholders to provide comprehensive solutions
  • Identify and drive initiatives to further leverage financial systems, streamline process flows, and craft systematic methods for efficient data analysis and processing, reporting, and analysis of historical, current positions, and predictive future performance
  • Ensure overall stability of system infrastructure including development of change management protocols, improvements to metadata creation and maintenance procedures, and system access control methodologies
  • Ensure compliance with security access controls and change management procedures, in compliance with internal control requirements and Company policies
  • Maintain a prioritized backlog of finance system projects/changes, drive prioritization at meetings, and communicate backlogs and schedules to stakeholders
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or finance; additional degree in information systems is strongly preferred
  • 12+ years of diverse accounting, finance, and information systems experience required
  • Expertise in implementing financial systems, project management, and process improvement methodologies
  • Strong leadership, team building and project management skills
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience working in other large companies is preferred
  • High-energy, adaptive, collaborative and responsive work style; ability to work in a fast-paced, complex and dynamic work environment with poise and professionalism
  • Results oriented with a customer-service mindset and approach
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
  • General knowledge in coding (ex. HTML, Java, Python, SQL)
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains and Blackline would be beneficial, but is not required
