The Manager of Construction and Facilities supports the corporate mission of providing the public access to health care by managing the real estate, design, construction and maintenance of our centers as we rapidly grow. This position requires a person who is able to take ownership of the process and drive our external vendors to completion. They should be able to meet challenges head on and move to a quick resolution.
 
This position has no specific geographic location. Home-based with travel up to 40% required.
 
Job Requirements
 
Education:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
 
Work Experience
 
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in construction (retail and/or healthcare a plus).

  • Detail oriented, able to rely on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks, lead and participate on a team, and plan and accomplish goals.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

  • Ability to travel 40%.
 
Essential Functions:
 
Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job’s purpose and objectives. Essential functions are critical or fundamental to the performance of the job. They are the major functions for which the person in the job is held accountable. Following are the essential functions of the job.
 
Responsibilities include:
 
  • Tour new real estate sites to determine if they will accommodate our typical design.
  • Work with our architect to design new clinics that stay true to our award winning design.
  • Provide weekly updates to leadership on the progress of construction.
  • Forecast and schedule projects from lease execution to opening.
  • Review landlord’s Work letter and validate the work has been properly performed.
  • Manage construction and maintenance budgets.
  • Review and understand our lease agreements.
  • Facilitate communication between our marketing team, signage vendor, landlords and municipalities to ensure exterior signage is installed on time and within budget.
  • Manage repairs to the clinics and provide timely communication on schedule.
  • Ensure clinics are being cleaned and maintained properly by our external vendor.
  • Setup electrical and gas accounts with the local utility companies.
  • Manage the annual renewal of sign and alarm permits.
  • Implement and manage maintenance programs across all clinics.
  • Coordinate snow removal across our network of clinics.
  • Partner with our landlords to ensure our facilities are well maintained.
  • Provide weekly updates to leadership on the progress of construction.
  • Vetting numerous vendors to provide services and/or supplies for the Clinic.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
